Every year, billions of dollars worth of vehicles leave the port of Jebel Ali, Dubai — bound for Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia and beyond. Dubai is not just a transit point. It is the global capital of automotive re-export.
Strategic Location
Dubai sits at the crossroads of three continents. Jebel Ali — one of the largest container ports in the world — has direct shipping routes to virtually every major port in Africa, Asia and the Indian subcontinent. What would take weeks of complex routing from Japan or Europe can be done in 14–21 days from Jebel Ali to most African ports.
Zero Duty on Re-Exports
The UAE charges no customs duty on vehicles that are imported and then re-exported. This is deliberate policy designed to make Dubai the world's trading hub. Vehicles can be prepared, fitted with optional equipment and shipped outward without the cost burden that applies in almost any other country.
The Largest Dealer Concentration
Dubai's Used Car Complex, Al Awir — where Car Ex Group has its showroom — is one of the densest concentrations of automotive dealers in the world. Thousands of vehicles of every make and specification change hands here every week. If a buyer needs 20 specific Land Cruisers in a particular spec, Dubai is the one place where that order can be fulfilled quickly.
Currency Stability
The UAE Dirham has been pegged to the US Dollar since 1997. Transactions settle in USD or AED without currency risk — critical for buyers in countries with volatile exchange rates. Dubai's banking system is experienced in trade finance including Letters of Credit for large fleet orders.
LHD and RHD in One Place
Vehicles are available in both Left-Hand Drive and Right-Hand Drive configurations. A buyer in Kenya needs RHD; a buyer in West Africa typically needs LHD. Dubai is one of very few markets where both are readily available across all major brands.
Car Ex Group has operated in this market since 1997. Browse our current inventory or contact us to discuss your requirements.
